Hi, I have to travel lately a lot by train with my sousa. I normally carry it in my Protec bag but I would prefer somethingt like a Bass Buggie or similar solution. Any Ideas or solution you gyus use? thanks

It depends on how the Sousa will be traveling. If the Sousa is going to be put on a luggage car you can use any hard case. A flight case shouldn't be necessary as long as you can prevent the horn from moving inside the case.

If you are carrying the instrument WITH YOU on the train, your pro-tec bag will probably be as good as it gets.

yes, i´m with the sousa on the train, the trolley and walking. The walking is actually the hard part, since the sousa on my bag is not really comfortable.

A fiberglass sousaphone will be far less damage-prone when traveling. King fiberglass sousaphone are (if 80's vintage or later), arguably, the most "bulletproof" of all fiberglass sousaphones.
I agree with you on all counts here, Joe.
