"Piano Phase" on Tuba?

Has anyone attempted or heard of an attempt to play a phase piece (such as Reich's "Piano Phase") on brass instruments? I imagine it could be done, but only by players with serious endurance, quick-breath skills...and invariable time.

What limitations (or strengths, even) might two brass players encounter in learning/performing a piece like Piano Phase?

One of my courses at college was called 'improvising and devising' and we had to do this sort of stuff. One of the weeks task was to write and perform a phasing piece. Hard but perfectly do-able. I wrote a piece called 'Hocket Phasing', which is based on what my group performed in the end (i couldnt think of anything more imaginative as a title :p).

I had to look the term up. It would seem to be very difficult to achieve in a live perfomance, but what a wonderful concept.

Perhaps one could try to perform the piece on one tuba?

I'm going to offer that minimalist music isn't very effective with wind players in general...at least, with only one or two of them.
