I have been in two bands that use flip folders a lot - I found them to be next to useless. Some of the plastic covers will stick to the ink (especially inkjet and Zerox photocopies) and it is a real pain to keep organizing sets. One of the bands would call tunes pretty much at random, with 80 to 100 charts in the book so it was very hard to use them.

The real trick is to learn the songs to memory! Much more fun to play when you are not worried about that book of charts hanging on to a flimsy lyre...

If you can get a hold of the music ahead of time, you could try this:

One thing to note (from their web site):
Please note: Map SealĀ® is not suitable for maps printed on ink jet printers. It will cause the ink to run just as water does.
