That's the topic. I will be there for a week sans tuba and want to keep up my learning to read CC...

I would think highly unlikely. You will be in part of the world where F/BBb are used

Are all the Cerveney CC's shipped out of the country, then?
How far could the factory be from Prague? Or do I need an Eastern Europe Geography primer?

The Cerveny factory is located in Hradec Kralove, Czech Republic, and is approximately 112 km east of Prague. There seems to be a freeway between the two cities, so maybe an easy drive?
Why not Cerveny CC's in a large city like Prague? Surely the company doesn't ship all their CC production out of the country. There must be some CC players in Czech Republic.

Maybe you could take a factory tour, and send pictures? 112 km is around 70 miles, isn't it?
Neptune treated us to pics of "naked" Chinese Tubas, so how about some Eastern European "horn dorn" ?

We should bash odd business practices, but thinking with the mind of a businessman doesn't hurt either.
Would you stock CC tubas in a country where these are not commonly used? And where the potential customers would buy specialty tubas directly from the factory anyway?
If you stocked CC tubas in a such country, how would your chances be about selling a rental instrument without a loss, as you hardly could expect more than 10 or 15% of the street price as the fee for a short term rent?
Short term rentals may work in big cities with a lot of travelling tubaists coming in for recording or performance.
