Rotary valve question

The other post about rotary valve maintenance got me to thinking... do rotary valves need to have their springs replaced from time to time (similar to replacing springs in a piston tuba)? Or is this a goofy question, and even a 40 year old tuba has probably never had it done nor really needs it.
Thanks!

I have a 1960s Mir 184. Valves are clacky, but springs seem OK.

Torsion-type rotary valve springs don't seem to get the wear that compression springs under pistons get. In most cases... I've only replaced torsion springs that have been 'messed with' excessively and are out of shape.
