Thanks to Neptune (Jon) I have had the pleasure of performing Siegfried for the past 3 weeks on a PT-20 CC Tuba. Before this I only ever used a 981 EEb. What a difference.

Really enjoying the big solo in Act II and already looking forward to Gotterdammerung next season!

Thought you may be interested in how this has come about especially in the current financial situation.

It's the Longborough Festival Opera based in the Cotswolds - UK. Here is a link http://www.lfo.org.uk/" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

Great to work in such a friendly and professional atmosphere which is culminating in a complete Ring Cycle in 2013 and a performance at the BBC Proms.

Best wishes,

Ian

Ian, Very looking forward to hearing when I bring my wife over to Longborough on Saturday (and meeting up for a chat).

So pleased my previous PT-20 is everything you hoped!

Best Wishes,
Jonathan

Jonathan, was the PT-20 the one you had intended as a marching and standing concerts tuba?

This is the first PT-20 I owned which actually to be honest I think plays better than the later gold brass bell one. I did briefly consider buying back myself before pointing Ian to it

It is very fortunate that my gold brass Neptune turned out such a great success - getting custom instruments manufactured to order is always a risk!

Thank heavens that will never be an option for me, then.

Hi Jon,

Yes it is.

I can show you both the orchestra pit if you like in the 75 minute Interval?

Best wishes,

Ian
