Quartet recordings
From a recital on Saturday by my Capriccioso Low Brass quartet;
5 tracks, Mov. 2 of Second Suite for low brass by Ken Friedrich, the most gorgeous Infant Holy, some madcap Arabian Dances, a long forgotten Nocturne by Gilbert Vinter and another carol, Hark How The Bells.

Noel De Lisle from the USA. It was originally for 4 male voices. He has asked me to provide the parts so he can upload onto Sibelius as a low brass quartet sometime in the New Year.

Thanks MaryAnn,
The scoring I do differs slightly to standard published works. The 2 euphoniums share the lead/accomp roles. The Baritone, being a lighter voice and different timbre, is placed in the middle (i.e. part 3). This keeps the usual thick sounding centre harmonies that much clearer, and offers a refreshing change to the sound of the group when given a solo line. The Tuba functions as normal in its bass line and solo parts.

Absolutely beautiful.
Thanks for sharing this -- I'll be sure to pass along the link to some fellow brass players in my area.

Thank you very much. I'm pleased with the quartet as it sounds now. We started 2 years ago and previously neither Kate, Andy or Dave had ever done any quartet work at all.
I had always got a group together of some combination in almost every band I've been involved with.
Some pics here;

Just finished some arrangements for the Feb & May Spring concerts;
Amparito Roca
Holst March from Suite no.2
Evening Prayer from Hansel & Gretel
Jasper's Dance from Pineapple Poll
Alongside two new original works by Ken Friedrich, 'Pathos',

and Joe Miserendino, 'Grecian Gambol'.

It's St. Mary's Parish Church in Slough, Berkshire, England, about 15 miles out from London and about 10 from Windsor Castle.
A most wonderful natural acoustic.
