I have a pretty minor problem causing pretty major issues! Due to some user error, I've knocked the valve guide loose on my 1st valve. It is not broken (as far as I can see), it just is loose, and can move up and down. This causes the valve to stick when depepressed, as the guide moves up and down in the "slot".

Looking for a quick and permanent solution to this problem. How are valve guides usually attached? Super glue? Anyone have any good tricks for making it stay put?

Any input would be appreciated!

Plastic or metal guides? What kind of horn?

Unless you have some spare guides, I am not sure there is a quick fix to this.

Its on my Miraphone 1281. They are a heavy duty plastic.

The quickest, most permanent solution is to take the instrument to a reputable local repairman. And please, no Super Glue! They are not installed that way. If you can't find help locally, just PM me.
