Sticky first valve

I am having issues with the 1st valve on my Meinl Weston 2182 sticking. I oil them daily with Hetman oil and degunk the pistons with ronsonol monthly. The piston will only stick if you hold it down for some time. If you use a 12 fingering that is held when you release 2nd valve will come up fine and 1st valve will stick just enough to mess up the next note(very bad problem in Hungarian March). Does anyone have any advice for fixing this problem?

How clean is the valve guide and the track it fits in? Dirt can accumulate there. You can use a wooden toothpick or the wooden end of a match to clean out the dirt if needed.
Hope that helps....

If cleaning the valve guide and track doesn't work, then use the process of elimination. Try working the valve up and down w/out the valve guide. If it doesn't stick after alot of reps, then it's probably the guide(easy fix). If still hangs up w/out the guide, then a repair shop would be the next logical step. Hope this helps.

Seeing that you keep it clean and have everything assembled properly, I'd suggest taking it to a trusted repairman.
The problem can be a multitude of things and it's hard to diagnose without examining in person
