So, I get to a rehearsal last night, and find out the client NEEDS Winter Wonderland...

um...I have never even seen Winter Wonderland for Brass Quintet, but if anyone has it, could you please e-mail me?

The gig is Sunday...sigh.

Thanks for all your help!

There are several arrangments available (google on "WInter Wonderland" "Brass Quintet"), but that's not going to help you now. It's also in one of the Aebersold books.

Be aware that the music, since it dates from 1934, is still under copyright, so arranging is legally verboten without permission. But there ARE a bunch of MIDIs of it on the web...

You might see what you can find down at the local music store in the way of a piano score or whatever, give the melody to the trumpets and have everyone else play harmony. The changes are pretty simple.

Jari Villanueva has a nice arrangement of Winter Wonderland that our quintet has performed this Christmas season.

I would also recommend BVD Press for great brass quintet charts, but in doing a search there, there's only a trombone ensemble chart for Winter Wonderland...

Give Jari a call -- he might be able to fax you the chart today if you buy the music over the phone.
