If you are anywhere near Somerville, MA this Saturday, or Harvard Square on Sunday (Sept 30 to Oct 3) - be ready for about 25 alternative brass street bands and other performers in the 6th annual HONK! There will also be a showcase of all bands on a harbor tour ship Sunday evening. Monday there will be seminar on the history of alternative marching bands at Harvard.
Honk features many tubas, Sousaphones, baritones & other misc low brass in ensembles. Lots of fun, and mostly free or very low cost for admission.
