Halloween gigging

I have been asked to sit in with an orchestra doing a Halloween concert (Night on Bald Mountain, yadda yadda...)

The group is encouraging members to dress up for the show in costume. I myself will probably not but I am looking for some ideas to possibly decorate the horn. Anybody got any good ideas, pictures, or stories to share that I can shamelessly steal?

They're never going to see me behind the Neptune anyway...

Our orchestra does this every year. I was a golfer last year and put some clubs in my bell.

I've never really worried about it, but a Frankenstein or Dracula would be relatively low effort costume-wise. Were you around when I marched Oscar the Grouch - I do not advise that.

Ben I am sure I would have remembered that. Tell me you have a picture somewhere...

I try to go dressed as a tuba player.

Apparently some TubeNetter’s wear their Bald Mountain outfit 24/7/52.

Stoffhose! Bvadr!

But of course easier to dry-clean if one is a founding member of the Hosenscheißer lodge.

I think you should dress as a beer maiden.

Attach a broken baton and go as a semi-conductor.

ring-around-the-collar
pants too short
food stains on coat
cat hair and tuba-case-dust on pants
black tennis shoes
green bow tie (when long tie is called for)
Not cat hair, golden retriever hair (see avatar). Considering how many times I have gigs that require a tux, a black suit or pit black, I have more or less given up trying to remove all the gold hairs.

I certainly hope that is directed at the OP! LOL
That wasn't really aimed at anyone. I knew I wouldn't do it and I figured that some one would post the beer maiden picture again. It is October.

Your little student certainly got everthing right for an open sound.

Be sure whatever you do does not need face makeup around the mouth! I have had some very blurry effects after a bit of playing (even with proper setting powder!)

(how do clowns that play instruments do it, anyway?)
