The USAF Concert Band and Singing Sergeants will be playing in town on Sunday. Does anyone know who's playing in the tuba section these days? The USAF Band website does not have that information available.

It will most likely be Brian Sands, and perhaps Jan Duga. Other possibilities would include Willie Clark, Jess Lightner, or Roy Wimbush (they comprise the ceremonial brass section). I just checked the website, and it appears to be having issues, and they've been taken down. I'll shoot a nice email to their public affairs representatives to make them aware.

Thanks. I was at IU with Brian Sands years ago. I may have to make a trek to locate him after the performance.

I think Chris Quade is also in the concert band, but he may be in the ceremonial brass along with Willie and Roy.

The USAF Band Tuba section for the 2011 Fall Tour is:
MSgt Brian Sands, section leader
CMSgt Jan Duga

towards the end of the tour they will be joined by MSgt Chris Quade from the ceremonial brass. They will be doing a recording session in Omaha, NE the last week of Oct and are using 3 players for that.
