Anybody ever been to the Schiller Instrument Store?

The one in Stevens Point, WI ???

Ever tooted on any of the horns there?

Yep, they do not have tubas out on display (only had a handful of brass horns out).

I would call ahead.

When I asked if I could try a tuba, the response was "Well, are you going to buy one?"

Really felt like walking out, but i held my tongue and got them to pull out the 186cc copy.

I hit the one in the Twin Cities area last spring and played everything they had. They didn't have all the horns, and just sold the last of the comp euphs the day before, but they were very very welcoming and just let me loose back there to play whatever I wanted to. One of the guys even emailed me a month or so later when he got in a couple of the euphoniums to let me know they were back in stock.

Just. Note since I have been asked a few times...

Schiller = JinBao

The Schiller instruments are just Jinbao horns with Schiller on the bell...
