Perhaps some of you may know about this, but I happened to stumble upon it just this evening. While doing a Google search on Warren Deck, I came across this page:

Rice University Digital Scholarship Archive

This is part of the Rice University Digital Scholarship Archive, as the link title hints at. Here you will find 13 solo and chamber works featuring Warren dating from 1978 when he was Principal Tuba with the Houston Symphony. Works include Kraft Encounters II, Bozza Sonatine and many more.

It was like finding buried treasure...and it is free to download!

Enjoy!

Couldn't get the sound files to play on my computer. They would load and then only be a second or so of silence.

Those would be great to hear, though!! Warren Deck's playing has always impressed me.

Try downloading the files to disk (control-click the link on Mac; right click on Windows).

Thanks for the link. :)

Contrapunctus IX. Warren's sound, clarity and rhythmic accuracy are amazing:

And I liked the whole Ingolf Dahl piece, "Music for Brass Instruments":

Thank you for posting this. It is wonderful to listen to live performances. Warren sounds great, I was 2 at the time - not even potty trained.
