Tuba conferences in the deep South?
Is there ever a tuba conference (like Midwest) held in Florida or Georgia? I would certainly like to play test horns (I play a Miraphone 186 BBb 4v) to get an idea of what HB, PT, etc sound and feel like. The conferences sound like a great time to be had by all.

Hey Joe!
Thanks a ton for your help in wooing the elusive Sophisticated Yankee demographic!
The South Eastern Tuba Euphonium Conference will take place in Athens, GA March 24-26. There will be dealers such as Baltimore Brass, Custom and the Tuba Exchange.
Learn more at the conference website- http://www.arches.uga.edu/~dzerkel/sertec/index.html
Feel free to e-mail me at dzerkel@uga.edu with any and all question.
Best,
DZ

Joe,
Thanks for that timely use of the classic tuba poster. Bubba, there are probably a lot of us over here that would like to meet you, and I'll put out this offer - if you show up to SERTEC in Georgia in March, I'll buy your dinner one night, and I'm not talking McD's, either. Now, I hope that 100 tuba players don't come up to me at SERTEC saying that they are Joe Sellmansberger
