Hello all,
Triton Brass had a very successful premeire of Lansing McLoskey's new concerto for quintet & wind ensemble, "What We Do is Secret" with the Boston Conservatory Wind Ensemble on Oct 9. It has received phenominal reviews..."amazing colors," "incredible interplay between the ensembles," "an amazing addition to the rep." This performance was part of Boston Conservatory's "Trombone Day," organized by my fellow Triton, Wes Hopper, and bass trombonist, Angel Subero. Also involved were Blair Bollinger, Norman Bolter, Michael Davis (Rolling Stones), Jeff Galindo (Berklee), Larry Issacson, and John Faieta. Here is a link to the site with the live recording of the concerto, info on the piece & those involved, and also a pdf of the score http://www.lansingmcloskey.com/whatwedoissecret.html" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

Triton will perform this next fall with the wind ensembles at MIT & the Univ of Miami. We have been chatting to numerous wind ensemble conductors all over the country, and we very well may be performing this with many other universities & conservatories very soon. If any of you on here might be interested in having Triton in residence at your univeristy, you can contact me at jobeywilsonii@aol.com" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank These residencies will typically be 3-5 day events, including Triton recital, masterclasses, chamber coaching, sectionals, lessons, and of course, rehearsals and performance with the wind ensemble.

Thanks everyone...enjoy!!! Jobey

oh, I just remembered my favorite quote after the performance, "the loudest piece of classical music i ever heard!" haaaaaaaaaa....by one of the composer's colleagues.
