Nice! I have a red, white, and blue Selmer commode-O-phone that I use for parades. But... it's not NEAR as well done as yours.

Per aspera ad astra
roughly translates to
Follow the red stripes to the stars.
Great design!
Schleppy and you could start a circulatory design company covering everything from mouthpiece through bell covers.

No, I am not an auto body guy, but I play one on television!
Actually I never tried anything like this before. I did not realize how much work the project would be, until I got into it. The multiple layers of lacquer caused the most problems for me, until I started to figured some things out.

Your idea about an alternate Christmas bell, is great! I'll have to give that some thought. Anybody got a clean King fiberglass bell, that they are willing to part with???

Funny you should mention that! A prominent NY tuba player suggested that I should have done it to
my Hirsbrunner!
