Andersons would be the place to go but, as I think Joe is suggesting, if you want to invest in gold, bits and pieces on your 52 ain't the best way to do it. Of course, if you want some glitz and have money to burn - well, it's your tuba and your money.

Joe would never add glitz to a horn...

Decorative gold is very thin. It was popular for automotive trim a few years back and can be done by simple brush plating. Here's a possibility:

You can do what Besson does with it's accented instruments: Finger buttons, top caps, maybe the ferrules on the tuning slides.
BUT you are probably the only person who is ever going to see that stuff and it won't (in my opinion) add any extra value to your instrument.
I vote to leave it alone.

It's sort of a dreary kind of glitz anyway. I mean, gold plate on top of silver plate - real eye-catching back in Louis XVI's day, I bet.
How about tiger stripes?

I would go with gold plated finger buttons and a gold plated mouthpiece--anything beyond that and you might as well throw some fake wannabe rapper gold chains around your neck and call yourself pimp daddy. Silver is beautiful don't jack with it, man.

A bright shiny tuba with gold accents is definitely a beautiful thing to look at. But, you'd better be able to make it sound beautiful too, or else you're a sitting duck back there. A dull, ugly tuba sets no expectation that it'll sound good based on how it looks, and if you can make it sound great, then all the better.
Ok, I'm only half-serious here... but all the same, I'm still half-serious.
