What is a fair price to pay for a used King 2280 Euphonium?

What woulb be a fair price to pay for a used King 2280 - Silver ?
It's 8 years old and in top conditon. It has very few stratches and only a couple of small " dings " . It has been sitting around unused for about 2 years . It will need to be cleaned out. Any opinions on this matter ?

No more than $1500. No less that $1000.

I just purchased a well-used silver 2280 on eBay last week. My purchase price was just under $850. As you can see from the photos in the add (click on link below), I will have to do a little polishing, and probably invest $100 in some dent repair, to remove the obvious dings.

So my actual investment in this horn will probably end up being about $1000.
Note: the "street value" of this horn, new, is about $1615, plus tax. So I suspect $1500 is the maximum reasonable price one should expect to pay for a "perfect" used one. (Yet with an auction, the seller may do better than one would expect. YMMV)
