Hindemith Sonata at Recent Recital

Yes, an excellent tubist. Excellent performance with great control over the horn. Fresh interpretation of some sections.
Two things: I've always thought of this as a CC or BBb tuba work. The F tuba sounds a bit small to me.
This particular model of F tuba seems to go very bright easily.

I agree. However, for what it's worth, the part is marked "Baßtuba." I've performed it on F and CC... I think it lies better on F, but contrabass tuba sound seems fitting for the work.
