Yesterday, for a first time local TC location, we had a nicely balanced 22 players and a nice audience. Philadelphia will be on December 17 at the Kimmel Center, with a house-limit 100 players at each of the back-to-back concerts.

At Atlanta, I didn't hear any numbers, but I would guess they had the normal 120 to 150 participants. I saw one alto horn and the usual two double bell euphoniums. Oldest was 73, youngest was nine. I had my leftie.
Next Sunday, Porterdale is doing one. Sunday is a better day for me to get the family (grandkids) along.

This coming Sunday (11th.) sees the 5th. (after a long, long gap) London Tuba Carols on the steps of St. Paul's Cathedral;

Would be good to get it up into the 70's & 80's and they assure us of plenty of space after moving protestors tents!

While not technically a TubaChristmas (since we don't use the Wilder book) we had 55 tubas and euphoniums at Tuba Carol Christmas in Springfield last week. Oldest 89, youngest 14. No alto horns or sousaphones, but one helicon. Oldest horn is an 1890's german pin valve euphonium...whose player was married to the oldest player.
Heading to Salem this weekend where entries were limited to 100.

Well, sort of. I can't make it out to one this year, so I played through the book at home.

Gosh I bet THAT was fun

It was more enjoyable than my last go-round at Rockefeller.

Seriously, it was seismic.
And the person who asked about where we put the audience, we put them in the 900 other seats in the hall and had standing room AND people watching on monitors in the lobby.

Aside from some looks I wouldn’t be able to mimic, I find the mouthpiece of the young lady interesting, as I don’t remember seeing anything like before.
Any ID?

Link is in Frank Byrne’s posting right over mine.
And the G&W reference looks likely.

Btw:
Won’t it be very costly to have those organ pipes erected to vertical again after all the low tuba frequencies had them tilting?

And his horn didn't get dented, either.

Will the NY TC event play the old Bacharach standard “Ice cubes keep crushing ’tween my toes”?

Humboldt County, Ca
We had about 20 people playing, but over 100 at each of our 2 performances. I like those odds!
Some people tell us that Christmas doesn't start until TubaChristmas.
