What is the origin of E. M. Winston musical instruments?

A few of their instruments used to be made (don't know if it's still true) in the Czech republic.

There is a company in Boston but they're made where bloke's treasure map leads. They are owned by one of those companys that send out the big phone book sized catalog, but I can't remember which one. We had some in a store I worked in awhile ago in NYC. My recollections are not fond, we didn't have the heart to sell them when such other good student stuff was out there. They were on consignment as a "try out" and they didn't pass our tests. Too much information maybe, but all true. Peace. ASG

Thanks for the repies, guys. There was a clown on the popular auction site that said Winston did not come from China... and insinuating that the Winston horns were a good student quality. I've seen a few of the Winston trumpets and can honestly say that they are right down there with the Rosetti's and a few other not-so-good examples.
