Hello,
Has anyone out there played Bruno Amato's "2 Together"? I am curious what the piece is like, and how difficult it is.

Also, are there any other tuba/soprano duets any of you have played, and enjoyed? I appreciate the info.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I have heard that Koetsier have composed a piece for tuba and soprano, but I may be wrong.

Plyed it on my master's recital

It is an interesting work. It is failry difficult. The soprano must pull notes from thin air, so she needs a good ear. Also, there are times when the tuba is above the soprano, so you need a good high register. A lot of fun, though. I did play one other duet for soprano and tuba. I am on Xmas vacation until Jan.1 so if you are interested, send me an email off line and I will look it up. I also have a CD from my performace, if that would help you. Dates back to 1974 but I recently had the university redo the recital from the master onto CD and it sounds OK.

I saw one of the tuba / soprano duets by Roger Vaughn somewhere and I thought it might be nice for my recital. Does anyone know where I can find these? I seem to have forgotten where I saw them. Thanks!
