Tell me if this correct: the tuba is the most difficult brass instrument to articulate on. I would believe this is true as when I picked up a trumpet and tried to play, double tonguing was much easier, and mind you this was on a 1907 Beucher True Tone trumpet that had been sitting for 30 or so years. Different, but not more difficult. I discovered the tuba after I was a somewhat accomplished euphonium player. After a few weeks, I could play most of my euphonium literature on the tuba (most of it down an octave). I discovered that double and triple tonguing was actually easier on tuba.
