But let's theorize -- since I've heard it's the same valve cluster, but with slightly smaller bell and bow(s), should we expect it to be any MORE expensive then the 181?
Arguments for each option that come to mind --
More expensive: new development?, weaker dollar today?
Less expensive: less material / same labor?, can't price it more than the larger 181?
My guess -- the 181 and 281 models are close enough in size (material cost) that Miraphone will give the 281 virtually the identical price tag (I'm guessing $500 less for the 281). The customer then has the option of two slightly different models (probably marketed as 4/4 and 5/4) for about the same price.
