TMEA from the perspective of an average joe

This thread would be interesting with pictures. However, I don't have pictures.
- Stared bright and early with Mr. Perantoni's master class. I liked the pedagogical stuff he presented: informative and concise. Some kid played The Ride with bad time.
-I played on a great deal of horns, and may stick around tomorrow for a last run around the booths. Lusting after tubas is fun, but frustrating.
-The horn I enjoyed the most: between PT 15 and Firebird. I hadn't played on an F in quite a while and it was fun to fart around on them.
The horn with the best ...(cool factor?)
was the Kanstul Grand CC. The PBone was a LOT of fun, and I can't even play the trombone.
The funkiest horn was that 4+1 piston CC at the Tuba Exchange booth. I didn't hear too much trouble with the third valve. I have bad ears and didn't use a tuner. It's okay for what it is.
I had fun bothering the folks at Houghton Horns and Houser Mouthpieces. I stuck around like a tick testing the houser and bloke 'pieces and shared some brief conversation here and there. It's neat to meet some board members. I am thoroughly impressed with blokes solo 1 mouthpiece. Whatever he did, it works. The screw rims Mr. Houser incorporate sweeten the deal even more.
This event is always full of nostalgia and leaving will definitely be a sobering experience.
I snapped a quick photo of half of the Exhibit halls to give an idea of the size of this convention. The renovations to the Lila Cockrell Theater were very nice. I should have taken a picture when I had a chance.
