I'm specially looking for a someone in the area around Missoula, Montana, but also just wondering in general. I know some of the top trumpet guys and shops in the U.S., but I'm not as familiar with who the pro tuba players go to.
Any recommendations for Spokane?
I ship my trumpets off for work, but my tuba (Kalison Daryl Smith CC) isn't going anywhere unless it's by car.
A search didn't turn up much.

I can't recommend anyone around Missoula or Spokane, but I would heartily endorse Lee Stofer in Iowa. If you need more endorsement than that, one of the Chicago Yorks was just in his shop for a cleaning. He's an excellent craftsman, fair and honest businessman, and a nice guy.

I agree that Lee is top-notch. But... Oberloh is a heck of a lot closer to Montana than Iowa!

No doubt, I just can't resist an opportunity to stump for Lee!

Though Lee is probably superb, I also recommend Dan Oberloh. Dan did some excellent restoration work for me several years ago.
