The inevitable question:

How's the tuba part?

Bass or contrabass?

Hi Steve,
I don't know the answer but am very interested in any responses you get - we're playing it for the first time in October this year.

Cheers,

Contrabass - There are some lower passages with the bass trombone that are great together, and the contrabass suits it well. I did it with a 6/4 Nirschl and had many compliments about the section.

This is a work that should be played more often. It is some great writing, and hopefully, you'll have a strong chorus where you can play out.

shoot me an email, and I'll send you the part.
