Any opinions on the BAch 1110 euphonium ?

Post by oldbandnerd »

Does any one have any experience with the Bach 1110 euphonium ? How does it compare to the Yamaha YEP321 ?

Thanks to all those who answered my previous post on the VMI eiphonium. Does anyone know the connection between Allora and VMI ?

The Bach 1110 used to be a stencil of the Yamaha Yamaha YEP-321; absolutely no difference other than the name on the bell. But I've heard that since becoming part of the Steinway group, the Bach euphs are now relabeled King 2280's.

Allora, to my understanding (Roger Lewis will certainly be able to verify this) is a house brand of the Woodwind&Brasswind. This does not mean that VMI makes all of the Allora brasswinds, but in the case of the 3+1 euphonium, the Allora is a stencil of a VMI model.

I don't own one, but it might be worthwhile checking this one out:

It comes with a Bach 6 1/2AL instead of a Yamaha 48, too.
