My local guy couldn't figure out which stem was the right length, so he didn't know what to make. So I just bumped along with it until I finally forgot about it. The valves needed worked anyway, so I figured it would all get done at once. Then I *stupidly* sold it (presumably to your customer) instead of getting the work done myself. I am glad it's getting some of that work done now.

So I sigh when I think about it too, but for a different reason.

EDIT: now that I'm remembering the different stems, I also remember that one of the valve pistons has a bit of an indentation on the top. Don't remember which one. That complicated the situation, at least for the local guy.
