Good morning,

The Tuba/Euphonium Studio at the university I attend is looking at purchasing equipment to record solo/chamber music competition material that requires video and audio. The video quality isn't crucial, it just needs to be decent. The audio is the main concern, and that can somehow deal with the volume issues we had when trying to do this in the past (i.e. distortion, compression, etc.) Also, the point of this is portability. We would like to record recitals with great audio/video as well. Can anyone suggest equipment for any of the following items? You're input is greatly appreciated!

- Video camera (again, quality isn't crucial, but its audio capabilites are)
- Audio interface?
- mics

I know they have ZOOM model with built in video and I'm assuming you can attach external mics. Anyone have any exprience with these? Again, how is the audio quality?

This setup would be mainly used for solo tuba/euph, tuba quartet, and brass quintet
