What's Bloke's take on the 66D4? I use one for my Eb and it's great. Would I be better off with that instead of my 24AW - I'm going to try it obviously.

Re: 24AW - in praise ofI've never seen nor played one. The spec's indicate only a scant improvement over the topical mouthpiece.
- Something approaching a .350" opening is really just too much carburetor (again, imo) for most tubas (bass tubas in particular). - I personally don't understand (again, except for young children and people with very forward-pointed facial structure) any reason for such a restricted cup opening. - I personally don't see any advantage to so much metal pinning down the skin and muscles around the lips. bloke "to each his own...birds of a feather (or island), etc..."
