Forte Drum Corps to march five out of eight female tubas

I saw this on drum corps planet. Found out five out of eight tubas are female-
What is the BIGGEST horn line in drum corps history that had a majority FEMALES in the TUBA or CONTRA section???
I'll grant you the all-girl corps. Obviously, I'm curious what the largest mixed corps tuba section with more GIRLS than GUYS is/was.
Because if its never been documented, we're about to make it NECESSARY to do so. Hint-hint.
TUBA CHICKS are taking over at Forte...and it sounded #### good in March. Way to go, girls!

A friend of mine has marched King upright tubas for decades, and several times the majority of the section was female converted clarinet players. His band always sounds great and has a nice bottom (no, don't go there). It's not a typical situation, but hey, it works. It should work in the corps.

I think it's a big deal because drum corps is EXTREMELY physically demanding, and playing tuba in drum corps is maybe the toughest job out of all of them.
So, it's pretty cool to see strong young women defying expectations and tackling a challenge that, for many years, may have been assumed by many to be "too hard" for a girl. And not only one but five of them.

Anyone remember the "Knee-Hi's" from Clinton, Iowa? I think they were merged into, or absorbed into, the Colts of Dubuque, maybe in the early to mid 60s. It must have been before I started playing baritone and before I started noticing girls. I would watch an all-girl drum and bugle corps much more closely now.
I think girls playing tuba was still kind of rare when my son started in the 90s

Would it be safe to say a guy that can't march a sousa probably wouldn't be able to march a contra?
