What are some things about music, tuba, the physics behind something, etc.. that you have heard and changed a big part of how you look at things?

Don't quit your day job.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

-Be a self-cleaning oven; recognize and fix your mistakes.

-Change is inevitable, growth is an option.

-You perform how you practice.

-The more passionate you are, the less objective you become.

-Are the technical demands of the piece getting in the way of making music?

-You need to adjust yourself to the music, not the other way around.

-You should be trying to create music, not perfection.

If you ever hit a clam, turn to the bass trombone and looked shocked.
Then, like the rest of the trombone section, bite your tongue and try not to laugh out loud when the Music Director yells at him/her.
