Help finding a euph solo w/church orchestra

A local music director (and tuba player) friend has asked me to solo with his church orchestra (which, from all accounts, is an above average group). He wants to program something saced-themed, but exciting. He even inquired about a possible theme and variations type solo. Does anyone have any suggestions? Anything in the trumpet/trombone/euph rep that fits this description?

With appropriate substitutions/transpositions, a lot of Salvation Army theme-and-variation solos with brass band work with church orchestras. My personal favorite is We'll All Shout Hallelujah (Norman Audiore), but I would also suggest Song of the Brother (Eric Leizden), Glorious Fountain (Bernard Smith), In Christ Alone (Richard Phillips), Ransomed (George Marshall), Jesus Is Strong to Deliver (William Spencer), or A Song of Faith (Eric Ball).

Not theme-and-variation, but arias from Handel's oratorios work well. I've played "Every Valley" and "The Trumpet Shall Sound" (check out this recording of The Trumpet Shall Sound for euph & orchestra), "Honor and Arms" (Samson), and "Father of Heaven" (Judas Maccabaeus) with my church orchestra.

Mendelssohn's "Ye People Rend Your Hearts / If with All Your Hearts" from Elijah works well, too.
