Community Band in need of Tuba Player?

Looking for a place to play tuba. Community band/orchestra etc. within 60 miles of Rochester, NY. Any info is appreciated. Thanks, Jon (

Hi,
There are some good concert bands in the Rochester area that I recall.
Check out the Perinton Concert Band. I think they still meet in Fairport.
I grew up there back in the 50's-70's and there were alot of community bands and orchestras to play with. Penfield, Brighton, FingerLakes- just check online and call the community colleges and the good high school band programs there in Rochester area.

There is a 'community music' forum on Yahoo that hosts directors and members from well over 1,200 community bands from across the USA. Go here... become a member... and post away.
