I thought Chicago's WFMT would come to the rescue. There will be a broadcast, and internet stream so we can all hear this.

"The CSO concert that features Gene Pokorny in the Vaughan Williams concerto will be broadcast on WFMT and wfmt.com on Sunday, July 22, 1:00 pm Chicago time. Enjoy!"

Just to confirm, do you mean Sunday, July 8 at 1:00 PM CDT?

And what year might that be? Andi needs to check her calendar again, because July 11, 2012 is a Wednesday and June 11, 2012 is a Monday. I wanted to put a reminder in my Google calendar to listen up at the right time, but no joy. The CSO 1:00PM Sunday listings only go through next Sunday, May 27. I guess if we keep looking at the schedule every so often we'll find it.

I'll look into that date and when I know more pass it on if nobody beats me to it. Possibly some Chitown person will make a simple phone call to check it out.

Currently-displayed listings are from April 1st to June 24th -- when June 1st rolls around, they'll probably display the May through July listings, so we'll know then. In the meantime, tubajon's suggestion of July 1st makes sense (whoever typed the reply might have had a key bounce, thus making a 1 into an 11). Thanks for the heads-up on this, Ken!

Bit of a Bump for the correction to the date. Now we'll all get a chance to make up our own minds on Gene's version.
