I wanted to take a moment to publicly thank a lot of the folks in our community.

When some of my musical gear was stolen last month I was grateful to receive excellent help from:

1) Dillon Music. Jim helped me make arrangements to replace my stolen mouthpiece and helped me make arrangements directly with Scott Laskey that put me in a position to have what I needed within days. Jim was very honest and professional throughout this process.

2) Neal Campbell at Custom Music. Neal very quickly got me the replacement information I needed for my insurance company. I spent some time with Neal when I picked my PT6p out of the warehouse and have always enjoyed his candor and professionalism.

3) Dan Oberloh and Paul Avery at Oberloh Woodwind and Brass Works. In my nearly two decades in the Northwest, Dan’s shop has been in my neighborhood for about half that time; when I lived in Southwest Seattle Dan’s shop was a few miles away and his new location in just up the street from my new home. Whether it’s a quick emergency repair or routine maintenance, I’m gotten a lot of good service from Dan’s shop over the years. In this situation, Paul and Dan were very quick to get started on appraisal information for my stolen tuba.

I’d be remiss not to mention what a great resource Roger Lewis has been over the years. While I have yet to talk to him about this situation, I am very grateful for all of the excellent advice he has given over the years.

To the aforementioned and anyone else I missed, Thank you!
