Hey everyone,

When I was in high school back in 2005, I attended a summer band camp in which an euphonium player performed a work for Euphonium and Synthesized CD accompaniment. I really enjoyed the performance and have been recently thinking of performing it at an upcoming recital. Unfortunately, I don't even remember the name of the piece. I do remember the piece being based around driving motorcycles, a vespa, or something. Sounds pretty cheesy, but it just seemed like a lot of fun. Anyways, since I can't find anything about this piece I thought I'd just ask here if anyone knows. Also, if you know of any good solos for euph and synth/cd, I'd love to hear about them!

Thanks!

-A

When I think of Euphonium solos with Synth accompaniment, I think of Neal Corwell. Here's his list of music with CD accompaniment.

I believe you're referring to the first movement of Pearls by Roland Szentpali. The first movement is a depiction of a Ducata SPS 916. It's originally for euphonium and piano, but there is a cool synthesized cd accompaniment that is not included with the part. I'd be happy to send you the accompaniment file if you send me your email address. You can get the solo at Just for Brass or euphonium.com. Shoot me an email at mceuph75@gmail.com" target="_blank

Dr Cochran:
I would like very much to get a copy of the synthesized accompaniment for Pearsl 1. Is it purchasable?

Thanks
