B&S (Musica) stovepipe

I love my new musica CC, which is, I imagine around 15 years old, but has hardly been played.
Things I noticed:
it is very in tune- I hardly have to pull a slide
the low range is very good, the high range is very comfortable and sings well
it is extremely tall
My question is: is there some correlation between the tight wrap and tall bell that makes a horn project better? I get the impression that I could send the low Ab into outer space, which is not a feeling I got with my PT-3 which is very similar in bore, bell size etc. but isn't tall.
Thanks for listening!
BWT, with the Blokepiece symphony, the low D is ridiculously huge.

I have no idea what the secret is behind these horns. I have one of these old tall horns as well (Mine being a model B&S Symphonie BBb) and it plays extremely well with fine intonation and a great sound.

I have to agree with this. I don't know what made mine sound great but I loved it. I love the look of yours better though as mine has the 5th valve set is on the other side (Left hand opperated) and is is a flat 3rd.

Those B&S 'Musica' tubas are made the same way as the PT models. What makes the 'Musica' models project better is the design/taper. Everything from the mouthpipe to how many curves/loops the tuba has to
especially bell shape effects sound and playability. Those B&S 'Musica' models seem (to me) like they were loosely based on the proven Alexanders, but with more R&D for better intonation.
