The academic version of Logic Pro 7 can be purchased using institutional funds direct through the Apple website or any Apple store for $299. This software retails for about $1000. This is the full version. The only drwback for some is that it is Mac only. The software also requires a G4 or G5 and OS 10.3.
This is a great deal on one of the best recrding/midi/scoring programs around.
