Fidelity is somewhat outdated, but there are sound samples.

Thank you for posting this. I was in Viet Nam just two years after this (1970), with the 1st Inf Div Band, then the 25th Inf Div Band, and finally the US Army Band--Viet Nam (266th at Long Bien). I didn't come away with many pictures, so this is like a trip down memory lane. Better than watching "MASH".

Thanks for posting. The 4th Infantry Division Band was stationed at Fort Lewis WA when I was there with the smaller post band, 21st Army Band in 1960-61. Our bands often performed together in the more important events such as Division reviews, honor guards, parades in Vancouver B.C. and downtown Tacoma, local TV productions, and miscellaneous public relations concerts. Released from active duty in July 1961, I served out the remaining four years of my draft obligation by playing in the 91st Division Army Reserve Band at the Presidio of San Francisco. I consider myself fortunate to have not been in the VietNam conflict. I honor those who did serve including those bandsmen shown in your post.
