I know this isn't tuba, but I found Steven Mead's recording (World of the Euphonium, Vol. 1) helpful when I played the piece.

Last time I looked, the Marcellos were not written for tuba, like many other instruments, we borrow them. Why confine yourself to a recording by a tuba player? There are a ton of recordings by other instruments such as the cello. You can drive down a road by only looking at the center line but you miss all the scenery along the way - open up to recordings by other instruments.
