HOW I'VE SPENT THIS SUMMER

I decided to work on getting some of the low brass duets, trios, quartets and even the Sarabande from Bach's 2nd Cello Suite together and play all the parts on Eb Tuba and Valve Trombone. My family aided by converting our living room into a TV recording studio complete with a green screen fabricated from a king size sheet attached to the front wall, my Sony HD camcorder on a heavy duty Bogen tripod, a Rolls audio mixer, two MXL condensor mics suspended on a very tall boom mic stand and a variety of moveable light fixtures to enable a quality capture.
I had a little Korg MA-30 metronome with an earpiece so I could keep a constant tempo when recording multiple instrument selections and a Sony remote that allowed me to start and stop the camcorder.
After the recording session was complete then I went to my computer room and put the parts together with a variety of backgrounds using Adobe's Premiere Pro CS4 video edit program.
So far I've put the following on YouTube:
THE LIBERTY BELL duet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6vilFxG ... 12kC3ZAfVU" target="_blank" target="_blank

HONOR & ARMS duet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmNcU_4U ... z3uVB1OUmc" target="_blank" target="_blank

SARABANDE from Bach's 2nd Cello Suite solo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I12kC3ZA ... el&list=UL" target="_blank" target="_blank

BABY ELEPHANT WALK quartet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmNcU_4U ... z3uVB1OUmc" target="_blank" target="_blank

I'm still in the process of putting other selections together. It's a fun activity and does take lots of time.
I hope you find them enjoyable.

Here's a couple of pictures of how this temporary studio looks via links to Photobucket.

Thanks Jordon for the compliment and the wrong link for BABY ELEPHANT WALK.
Here's its correct link and two additional titles I've just put up.

I decided to go local on my latest muti-me music video. I chose Beethoven's Fur Elise arranged by Peter Opaskar for trombone & tuba and a very scenic, historical Kauai location.
On this video I use the Ka Ulu A Paoa Heiau, located above Kauai’s Ke’e Beach as the background. I also make the two performers simi-transparent so as not to impose on the landscape.
Hope you enjoy.
