I need some suggestions on solos for tuba for a sophomore level tuba player. im in the MMM (tri-m) music program at my school and part of it is participating in the state's ensemble and solo contest as a requirement to stay in MMM. the other requirements are no problem for me. the whole solo thing isnt really my shtick but i dont got a choice due to awful planning on my part. also if anyone could suggest some good chamber group music. i could probably muster people together for just about any composition. id prefer woodwinds (ik thats an odd match up) its just majority of people ik are woodwind players. i could get a trumpet and trombone however. whatever you can suggest really helps there is plenty of time before the contest i wanna plan ahead this time again thank you for whatever you give me. please excuse the awful grammar and spelling as well. have a good day everyone!

If you are playing a contrabass tuba (BBb or CC) check here: http://dzerkel.myweb.uga.edu/resources/ ... abass.html" target="_blank" target="_blank

Good Advice! Professor Zerkel knows what he is talking about.
