The 4-rotary valve, F Cerveny (Model CHL-621-4PX-SP) that I bought new two years ago is very agile and projects well in the upper register.
The sound is very bright, perhaps a function of the thin materials.
C (below the staff) and lower require effort, but pedal F pops out effortlessly.
Has anyone played a F helicon?

I have an old Czech F helicon of unknow origin. 14" bell and fairly dark for a horn that small... maybe it leaks, alot. pitch is where you put it, it does not forgive a sense of week intonation.

I have a Cerveny F, I was told upon my purchase c. 1900. Dan S recently put a new bell
and bell stack on it, making the bell a little longer and bigger, and added a couple inches to the main tuning slide. Pitch is much better, sound is more focused and is quite nice. I thought I had a buyer for it, but I haven't heard from him lately, and one other person who might be interested. I will try to contact both to see if they are still interested, and then I will email you. I recently got a BBb Amati, and don't need the F. The F was described by a knowledgable player as "sweet".
