Miami Valley Low Brass Solo Competition

The Wright State University Low Brass Festival is once again hosting the Miami Valley Low Brass Solo Competition. If you have any questions, please feel free to email or PM through this board.
Dates:
Preliminary Round (Tape Round): Postmarked by November 9, 2012
Notification of Finalists: November 21, 2012
Final Round (Live Round): December 7, 2012

Prizes:
Trombone Student - 1st Place: $100
Euphonium Student - 1st Place: $100
Tuba Student - 1st Place: $100
Trombone Young Artist - 1st place: $200
Euphonium Young Artist - 1st place: $200
Tuba Young Artist - 1st place: $200

On Saturday December 8th, The Winner of each division will perform on a Recital and The Runner Up in each division will perform for a master class on the competition repertoire.
Entry Fee:
$35 for all divisions and includes Participation in the Low Brass Festival on Saturday December 8, 2012
The Preliminary round may be recorded with or without piano for all divisions. The Final round will be performed with piano accompaniment and an accompanist will be provided if needed.
Submitting your recording:
- Recordings must be postmarked by November 9th, either by mail or e-mail. No recording will be considered with out submission of the application and fee.
Electronic submissions should be in MP3 format. Mailed submissions may be submitted on a CD or flash drive.

Student Division - participants must NOT have reached their 19th birthday by Dec. 1st, 2012.

Student Tuba:
Preliminary (recorded) round: Lebedev – Concerto in One movement
Final Round (Live): Lebedev – Concerto in One movement
Young Artist Division - participants must be enrolled at the undergraduate level (any age).
