Interesting picture. Do you happen to know what the double belled instruments are?

These instruments are Schediphones made by Bohland & Fuchs. More info is about them here:

Basically using the same idea as a double-bell euph, the 5th valve opens up the 2nd bell with a more trombone-like sound, while the main bell is more mellow and euphonium-like.

Yeah, I noticed that. Most of those guys look to be pretty rough--------I wouldn't want to meet up with them in a dark alley. Compared to them, most tuba players these days look downright pleasant. (There are a few exceptions, of course, and you know who you are.
Just joking.)
