Band or wind ensemble excerpt book(s) for Tuba?

Hi-
I know we have plenty of orchestral excerpt books/CD-ROMS/xeroxed parts, etc. for tuba, but I am curious if anyone has 'published' an excerpt book for tuba for band-wind ensemble parts. I know many teachers have xeroxed parts of difficult marches, the Holst pieces, transcriptions, etc., etc.--but just wondering--especially for folks planning to audition for military band jobs (as an example)--if there is a 'published' tuba band excerpt book? Just curious....
Thanks-
Mark

The old William Bell method book has some band excerpts in it. 1812, Magic Flute Overture, some marches and several other things I don't remember off the top of my head.

I wonder how much of the stuff is "too new" to be reprinted without copyright problems?

There is nothing currently in the literature. My dissertation is directly related to this problem and I will be working on publishing something like what you are talking about once the dissertation is completed. Copyrights are definitely one reason why nothing has been published yet. I know for example, the euphonium book that Barbara Payne created had to leave several works out of it because they were unable to get publishers permissions or because the permission was too expensive.

If you need any information about a specific excerpt, I may already have some useful information. Feel free to PM me and I'll try to help.

Hi-
I think your book will be an important addition--I look forward to getting it when available.
